Twistweight Approximation
To approximate the twistweight of a racquet:
- Measure the swingweight several times in a measurement group.
- Twist the racquet 90° in the cradle, so the racquet head is parallel to the ground, to measure the spinweight of the racquet.
- Create a new measurement group and measure the spinweight several times. The difference between the swingweight and the spinweight is the twistweight.
Note: The twistweight determined by this method is a an estimate based on the perpendicular axis theorem. For more information, see the article Racket Twistweight from Spinweight and Swingweight .
Note: This does not work for pickleball paddles, as the air resistance of the paddle face is not negligible.
