What Statistics?
The mean, standard deviation, and period mean are calculated and displayed for each measurement group.
Confidence Interval of the Mean
When a measurement group contains at least three measurements, a 95% confidence interval is appended to the mean value. The limits are calculated as 1.96 times the unbiased estimate of the standard error of the mean. This calculation assumes that the measurements are normally distributed, so it is invalid if there are systematic errors, such as changing temperature, in the measurements.
Outliers
Measurements that are more than 1.5 interquartile ranges below the first quartile or above the third quartile are displayed in red to indicate that they are potential outliers. The number of potential outliers is appended to the Count value in parenthesis. If, upon examination, you wish to remove a measurement, swipe left on it.
